THE HISTORY

Our Roots Grow Deep

Tockwotton Farm is a multi-generational Farm serving the people of North Kingstown and the surrounding communities. The Tockwotton Farm property has been in the Madison Family since the 1820s. In the late 1920s it was incorporated as Tockwotton Jersey Farms. It operated as one largest dairy farms in Rhode Island and was the first electric dairy farm in the state. It was later used as a horse farm and then eventually it evolved into fields and greenhouses of vegetables and flowers. Most recently the main focus of the farm is enjoying the land and all it has to offer, including producing naturally grown vegetables for our community.
